Support
Isomoira is a very small company, and a human reads every message. Write to hello@isomoira.com and you will usually hear back within two business days. The answers below cover most of what people ask.
Getting in touch
Email: hello@isomoira.com — for help, questions about your data, and anything that looks wrong.
Security: same address, subject line “Security”. We acknowledge within 72 hours. Please do not include account data or bank details in the report.
Refunds: handled by Apple, not by us — see “Subscriptions” below.
When you write about a problem in the app, include your app version (Accounts → Settings → About) and roughly when it happened. Please never send bank statements, account numbers or passwords; we do not need them and would rather not hold them.
Your partner
How do we connect?
Accounts → Household → Invite your partner. Send them the code however you like; they enter it at “Have an invite code?” after signing in with their own Apple ID. Each of you signs in with your own Apple ID, and each of you decides what the other can see.
My partner has an Android phone
Isomoira is iPhone-only today, and a household needs both partners on it to be a household. If your partner opens an invite link on Android, the page lets them leave an email address so we can tell them if an Android version ships. Until then, the rest of the app works for you alone.
What can my partner see?
Every account you add carries a tier you choose: fully shared (transactions and balance), balance only, or just me (invisible to them, still counted in your own budgets). Change a tier any time from Accounts. Use preview as partner to see exactly what they see before you commit. The tiers are enforced on our servers, not in the app.
I sent my partner the referral link by mistake
A referral link creates a separate household, so if your partner used it they now have their own. Have them delete that account (Accounts → Settings → Delete account) and join yours with an invite code instead.
Bank connections
My bank will not connect, or stopped syncing
Connections run through Plaid. Most interruptions are the bank asking to be re-authorized, which happens on a schedule at some institutions; open Accounts and follow the reconnect prompt on the affected institution. If the institution is not listed in Plaid at all, or is down, you can still add expenses by hand or import a statement file from Accounts → “Import a statement instead”.
A transaction is missing, doubled, or looks wrong
Pending transactions show greyed and are not counted until they post; banks sometimes take days. Imports are de-duplicated by day, amount and merchant, so importing the same file twice does not double-count. If something still looks wrong, tap the transaction to open its receipt, which explains in plain English how it was counted, and write to us with what you expected.
Does Isomoira ever move money?
No. Bank access is read-only and there is no way to send, request or hold money in the app. Settling up happens between the two of you, outside Isomoira. The true-up screen can open Venmo or Cash App with the amount filled in, if you have added a payment handle in Settings.
Subscriptions
What is free and what is paid?
Entering expenses by hand, the full settlement ledger, budgets and everything built on them are free. Connecting a bank is the paid feature. There are two plans, Solo and Couple, monthly or annual, and one subscription covers a household. New subscriptions start with a free month.
How do I cancel?
On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Isomoira → Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Apple bills and refunds all subscriptions, and we have no ability to issue one ourselves. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What happens when a subscription ends?
Bank syncing pauses. Everything else keeps working, including all of your history, and you can carry on in manual mode for as long as you like. Nothing is deleted because you stopped paying.
Restore a purchase
Accounts → Settings → Restore purchases, or the Restore button on the paywall. Subscriptions are tied to the Apple ID that bought them.
Your data
Export
Accounts → Settings → Export. You receive exactly what your device holds.
Delete my account
Accounts → Settings → Delete account. The app offers an export first, then explains what will happen. If you are alone in your household, everything is erased. If you have a partner, your name and everything you typed are erased, while the shared amounts stay with them so that their ledger is not rewritten. Deleting also removes our access to any connected bank and revokes Isomoira's Sign in with Apple token. The Privacy Policy has the full description.
Someone sent me a settlement page and it looks wrong
A settlement page shows only the fields the sender chose to include, and the sender can revoke it at any time. If you think a page was sent to you in error, or shows something it should not, write to us with the link.
Diagnostics
When something fails, the app sends us an event name, an outcome code and the app and OS version, nothing else. You can turn this off in Accounts → Settings; the app is unaffected.
Privacy and security
Face ID lock
Accounts → Settings → Require Face ID. Your device passcode is the fallback. The app also hides its contents in the app switcher and whenever the screen is being recorded, mirrored or shared to another display.
Reporting a security issue
Email hello@isomoira.com with “Security” in the subject. Tell us what you found and how to reproduce it; leave out any real account data. We acknowledge within 72 hours, keep you informed while we fix it, and will credit you if you would like. Please give us a reasonable time to fix a problem before publishing it.
